Just finished viewing webinar where Microsoft went over what's new in MS CRM 1.2. Pretty neat stuff. There is now multi-language support. The interface has been updated to make it even more like windows-based application. Support for the latest and greatest from Microsoft such as Outlook 2003, Windows 2003 Server, .NET Framework 1.1, etc. Outlook interface is amazing and so is integration of CRM into it.

Re: Microsoft CRM 1.2
11/25Alex,
Do you still need to manually "promote" an email to an activity? Also, did they fix/improve the ugly tag embedded in subject lines in order to retain the thread's identity?
Thanks,

Re: Microsoft CRM 1.2
12/14The two issues are interconnected. The ugly tag you referring to is used by the Exchange connector of Microsoft CRM to track messages related to CRM activities. With it in the subject line, you don't have to do manual promotion of email to activity.
There has been a hot fix available for some time now to remove the GUID tag from the subject line. It can be applied to version 1.0 of Microsoft CRM. Again, this will prevent Microsoft CRM to automatically track email activities.

Re: Microsoft CRM 1.2
03/07I always wanted to try it out. From what I saw on the screenshots, the interface is absolutely no match. Are there any demo hosted on the net? -

Re: Microsoft CRM 1.2
03/08Microsoft Business Solutions is working on setting up play areas where customers can go and try CRM for a few hours. I'll find out when this will be available and post the information here. Meanwhile, there are demos you may view on www.ompsolutions.com
